Yes, this is indeed a giant rock. It isn't as long as it looks in the picture, it actually seems quite a bit smaller in person. And to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. Until! I climbed ON TOP of the giant rock! There are stairs that lead up on the far right side (coming from the path). Now I did not see these at first, so I simply climbed up the first slope I saw on the left. This was pretty easy but if you are not wearing proper shoes I would not recommend this route cause you could easily slip back down. Once you make it to the top that's where the real beauty is. I got there around 4:00 pm, later then I wanted but this allowed me just enough time to snap some pictures at the bottom as the sun went down (photo above) and then run to the top and get some beautiful shots overlooking the land during sunset (photo below). This was amazing!

Wave Rock itself is well, a giant rock. And as neat as it is, for the out of the way drive to get there I was hoping for a little more. So I went exploring and what I found was even better. Once you get the typical pictures of Wave Rock from the bottom make your way to the TOP of the rock! It goes on and on and on and there is so much to see! I got there just before sunset and the views from the top of Wave Rock were beautiful (pictures above). Views on top of the rock from sunrise are just as stunning! (picture below) And while you're there, why not take a little yoga class at sunrise (picture below).
