*rated out of 5 starts Sunday June 11 From the airport we got the train to Charlotteburg where we hopped off and walked about 5mins to our hotel. It was around 19:00 when we got to the hotel so we decided to make the night a relaxing one. For dinner we went to a Vietnamese resturant called Sala, it was really good and fill us up enough to last till the morning.

Monday June 12 It's always a hit and miss when it comes to hostels complimentary breakfasts. But we were quite happy with the deviled eggs, yogurt, bread, meats and not to mention my favourite Brie cheese! Once we filled ourselves up we backed our bags for the day and headed to the hop-on hop-off stop (yellow line). We walked to Kurfürstendamm/corner Rankestrasse and got on the bus there. We got off at stop #8 the TV tower. We went up to the observation desk and enjoyed a nice 360 view of Berlin.

For lunch we shared a currywust and a bratwurst with some African beer called Dju Dju. Dju Dju is the name given to one of the voodoo cults which has its origins in West Africa. We had passion fruit and mango, they were very yummy and refreshing.

Following lunch we made a little pit stop to....... Classic Tattoo Berlin! Adding a little ink to my (and my cousins) growing collection. Next and final tourist stop for the night was the East Side Gallery Berlin Wall. There are so many talented art pieces here it was beautiful to see.

During my research of things to do places to see I came across someone suggesting we get bubbles...... as I totally forgot if that was food or a drink I was presently surprised when the resturant right by the East Side Gallery Berlin Wall museum had this drink with bubbles! Turns out bubbles simply means frozen balls of melon in your cocktail. Definitely not a must-have in my books as it is easily made at home. After our "bubble" drink and a couple beers we took the tram back to Alexanderplatz where we stopped off at Viva Dolores for a burrito and soft tacos. Full and tired we continued the tram to Charletteburg where our hotel is and called it a night. Tuesday June 13 Caught the hop-on hop-off bus around 10:45 at stop number 17 the Charlottenburg Palace which was the closest to our hotel. We got there around 9:30 but had to wait a while, our thoughts were because it was the first run of the day.

We enjoyed the sights along the bus route until we got to the holocaust memorial. We sat in awe for a few minutes taking in the view.

We were told about a free tour of the dome onto of the parliament building so we waited in line across the street from the parliament building to make a reservation. This tour required you to provide some form of ID ex. Passport, drivers license. After waiting for about 30 minutes we made our reservation for 20:30. On our way to Classic Tattoo Berlin for Zoe's tattoo we stopped by a vintage shop Bintus and got a couple fun items.

After Zoe got her tattoo we walked back to the parliament building for our 20:30 tour.

Wednesday June 14 Lazy morning for travel day! Gave ourselves a little extra sleeping time in the morning and got our breakfast then headed to the airport. We weren't worried about getting to the airport too early because well.... we are traveling to Moscow Russia next so we plan on doing everything with a bit of extra caution.
